Memorial Day Madness in Pebble

What has now become a semi-annual tradition, the alarm went off at 3:30 am, we packed the car to the roof, loaded the girls in their car seats, and headed out on a 7 hour road trip to Pebble Beach. Both Kait and Mia are great road trippers so the car ride up North was no sweat. We spent the week with Nana (Gramma Jackie) and Papa (Grampa Larry) doing a bunch of relaxing activities.

We started each day with a morning run through Pebble Beach. Kait loved to go by the stables every morning to see the young girls ride horses. She met a horse named 'Mystery' and both Shelly & I are thinking we might have a horse rider on our hands. Mia really enjoyed the scenery and was so good the entire time.

Highlights of the trip included a great day at the beach looking at the tide pools and making sand castles. It was a tad cold, but that didn't stop us from enjoying the afternoon. We went into Carmel, Monterey, Pacific Grove and strolled down their main drag. Hit up the candy shop for the best fudge in all of California, Art Galleries, Toy Stores, walks to the Lodge... the usual things. Later in the week, we went to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Kait and Mia loved the Penguins, Otters, and Eels (yuck). Kait got her first ice cream cone(chocolate)after the aquarium and has since been asking for ice cream for dinner.

Pebble Beach was such a good time, we got to go on some date nights while Nana & Papa watched the girls. There was so much to do we even forgot to hit the Spa. Next trip for sure. Thank you so much Nana & Papa for such a great family vacation!!!
