Let's get a quick recap of the December Holidays. The girls visited with Santa on the first weekend of the month, then we went and cut down our Christmas tree (ok, so we picked it out at the lot), then Daddy hung from the roof setting up all the lights and blow-ups.
The following week we hit up Disneyland. We did a mid week visit to try and beat the Holiday crowd (Ha ha not). Grampa joined us to watch the parade and Gramma came for dinner. The next day we hit up the park again, this time with Kait's friend Maddie and her mom Lisa. The highlights were running around Tom Sawyer's Island, going on Dumbo, Small World, having the power go out on the boat ride with Grampa and Kait.
Per usual, we hit up the Ritz on Christmas Eve to spend with Grampa Bill, Gramma Pat, and the whole rest of the family. I thought the dinner went suprisingly well, a lot less messy this year. Plus, I won the bingo game...twice!
This was the first year as a family that we hosted Christmas Day at our house. Shelly's family came down to our house (Nana, Papa, Auntie D, Uncle Paul, and Cousin Mason). Shelly did a terrific job on the prime rib spread.
Then we had a quick trip over to Oba's for more Christmas dinner and fun. That was very relaxing and a perfect ending to a hectic 36 hours.
As for their loot, Kait got her first bike, an Art Easle, and a bunch of dress up stuff. Mia got a bunch of Disney characters amongst other things.
New Years Eve was spent over at the Brausa's house, where we rang in the new year with Dick Clark, again!
On to 2010!!!
